For Existing Leaders

Suppose you want to develop the leadership skills of your existing leaders. In that case, the journey still includes the tailor-made design based on the chosen values of your company and the main focus areas of your organization. During the leadership skill development training “Train to Achieve,” your leaders will be assessed by each other and the facilitator throughout the program. Since the training is happening in a natural environment amongst their colleagues and external evaluators do not observe them, participants can act as naturally as possible in a training environment. Our trainers are highly skilled in making participants feel at ease, and they can act as if they were at their work in a day-to-day scenario. Participants are receiving specific feedback, a combination of the observation of their peers, the trainer’s view, and their self-reflection. Participants benefit from one-on-one coaching run by the facilitator after the leadership training to make this a continuous development. Our trainers are best-in-class leadership facilitators and certified coaches at the same time.

The program ends with a boot camp, making sure the development is ongoing, working on the areas defined during the workshop(s).

Building Blocks

Phase 1: LPA Design /
Charting The Course (0.5 – 1.0 day)

The journey begins in LPA Design, where together we blueprint the best course of action to meet your company’s goals. We consider and implement defined competencies, company values, success factors, and your talent pool of potential leaders. We design the ideal approach and training program to arrive at your target destination through collaboration with company representatives. Most of our Customers choose 3-5 competencies as a base for the journey. Here are some examples of them.
Our Content Development teams put together the program based on our Customers’ key competencies and challenges. The participants’ strengths and areas of development are observed based on the selected competencies.

 

Phase 2: LPA Launch /
Preparing For Success (1.0 Day)

The LPA Launch develops the mindset required to advance throughout the program successfully. We prepare your talent pool to get the most out of their unique LPA Assessment and Training by developing participants’ agility and openness to give and receive feedback. In the end, participants are committed to the journey, motivated to learn, and primed to grow.

In some cases, we can add a Vision workshop day. Some organizations want to make sure that their vision aligns with their team. The creation of the idea can be related to the whole company or, for example, to a country. If you wish to include such a module, we will help you with suggestions about the best timing.

Phase 3: Assessment and Training /
Gaining Critical Insights (2.0 days)

The two-day LPA Assessment and Training is a unique, real-time assessment and training session based on success and derailment criteria. The Assessment and Training provide deep insight into your top talent’s needs through carefully controlled tasks and detail-specific feedback; managers capture readiness data specific to each participant. In contrast, participants gain the self-awareness to create a map of their skills and abilities. Both play a crucial role in bringing the participants and the company closer to their goals. Following the workshop, managers and participants receive individual feedback based on leadership competencies defined by your company. Participants especially enjoy one-on-one coaching based on the workshop’s findings and an independent, expert-written report detailing readiness feedback, strengths, and areas of development.

Post-workshop deliverables:

  • one-on-one call with the managers about their nominees (in case the journey is about potential leaders)
  • one-on-one call with the participants, including coaching
  • detailed feedback on participants’ readiness (in case of potential leaders)
  • for all about the strength and areas of improvement based on the defined competencies
  • suggestion for the way-forward

Phase 4: LPA Boot Camp /
Transferring Knowledge to Practice (6 x 2 hours)

Participants analyze real-world leadership dilemmas and scenarios specific to the company and reflect on determining factors and outcomes. By reflecting on experiences, they outline how they will transfer what they learned into daily practice. This phase supports participants in their development and helps to fine-tune their skill map to identify areas for further training.

 

Phase 5: LPA Upgrade /

Updating Success Criteria

One year following phase 4, we come back for the LPA Upgrade. In this phase, we revisit the goals of the company and the participants, as well as the results. We analyze the data to update the success criteria for future coaching and training sessions. Through continuous improvement and adjusting goals, we help and support your company in reaching your target.

Presentation Skills

Giving clear, concise, and compelling presentations is a must for leaders.

This skill-building course teaches how to structure an excellent presentation by creating and following an action plan. It covers introductions, connecting with the audience, transitions, and using PowerPoint. We cover body language, vocal variety, and the best way to use the stage for live and remote presentations.

Negotiation

Good negotiators know when to be assertive and when to be patient.

We cover the steps to a successful negotiation, tips for active listening, how to handle power struggles, and the commitment mindset to negotiating. The workshop shows leaders how it’s possible to achieve more than expected if done correctly. The training includes assertiveness training.

Conflict Resolution

The keys to resolving conflict are speed and action.

Spot and resolve conflict before it grows. Learn to create a psychologically safe work environment that encourages open communication. Practice diffusing real-world conflict using proven models, including the Thomas-Kilmann Instrument.

 

Time Management

Stress reduction begins with intelligent planning.

We explore several planning strategies and decision-making tools, such as the Eisenhower Matrix. We learn the seven steps in delegating using the ‘letting go’ mindset and avoiding abdicating.

Assertiveness

Be self-assured, confident, and calm.

Learn to get your point across firmly but fairly and with empathy. Become more effective in problem-solving by knowing how to handle emotions when they arise. Learn how to say “no” appropriately and professionally and the right way to ask for help.

Coaching

Foster a working relationship with trust, motivation, and accountability.

Participants learn a simple but efficient method of how to coach from a leadership position. Learn when and how to give feedback to reinforce a mindset to promote effective action. Practice with real-world issues and dilemmas.

Self-Coaching

Thoughts and feelings determine results.

Many coaching programs, including ours, focus on producing action. In this workshop, we focus on changing the thoughts and feelings behind our actions, inaction, and reactions and minimizing and overcoming internal resistance.
